Jazz Middelheim

Location, City of Antwerp, Belgium.
I must say this is the most charming and intimate jazz festival I have visited as an photographer. Four days of top quality jazz on one stage in a large open tent with perfect sound quality, with a great ambience. Located in a park on the outskirts of Antwerp next to a 17th century mansion. Nice belgian beer. Do I have to go on?

From the 13th until the 16th of August, Jazz Middelheim will take place in the Den Brandt Park in Antwerp where a few legendary jazz albums, some of Belgian’s finest talent and finally, the birthplace of jazz, New Orleans, will be placed in the spotlight. Dr. John, Joe Lovano & Chris Potter, Bill Frisell, Jason Moran, the Brussels Jazz Orchestra and Archie Shepp, are just a few names that will be appearing on the programme of Jazz Middelheim 2015.
